  • 2018-2019 Grant Awards Announced

    Foundation 191 announced ten grant awards for the 2018-2019 school year totaling almost $5000 to schools in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage school district at the May 10 School Board meeting.

    Each year, the foundation receives grant requests from district staff with some really creative ideas that would enhance, enrich, and expand educational opportunities for students in district 191, which is core to the foundation’s mission. We are very proud to help facilitate these collaborations.

    Since its inception in 2005, Foundation 191 has provided more than $100,000 in grants and in-kind contributions to supplement and enhance students’ experiences.

    2018-2019 Grant Awards

    M.W. Savage 
    Whaletale Publishing
    Writing. Illustrating, Publishing – 400 Students
    Grant Amount: $500

    BES Transition Program
    Core Quilting – 25 Students
    Grant Amount: $1000

    Nicollet Middle School 
    Audio Books – 620 Students

    Vista View
    Student Led book Clubs – 60 Students (4th grade)

    Sky Oaks
