CLASSIC CARS & CANDY – UPDATE

Unfortunately due to the current increase in number of CoVid-19 positive cases in our community and surrounding communities, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s Trunk or Treat event scheduled for 2 – 5 p.m. at Diamondhead Education Center in Burnsville.

As of Friday afternoon, Minnesota has reached another record number of new positive CoVid cases for the 2nd consecutive day. The health and safety of our community members, volunteers, and students of IDS 191 is our number one priority.

Please visit our website and follow us on social media for Foundation 191 news and future events. We are currently planning a drive-through Valentine event with silent auction and an outdoor spring event – obviously pandemic-dependent.

New This Year! Join Foundation 191 at its first Trunk or Treat Classic Car & Candy event. This is great for families looking for a fun and safe alternative to traditional door-to-door trick or treating, those simply wanting an excuse for the kids to get one more use out of their holiday costumes, and for the classic car enthusiast.

Upon arrival, each child will receive a Foundation 191 trick or treat bag ready to be filled with goodies and candy. Families will travel through the DEC parking lot, going from classic car to classic car and stopping at each to receive a treat while the adults enjoy the 25-30 vintage cars from local collectors. Adults are welcome to attend without children, but all children need to be supervised by an adult.

Registration: To stay within the MHD event guidelines, participants will be asked to pre-register for 30-minute staggered time slots (payment will be collected at the door). We are reserving the first 30-minutes for families who are at high health risk or have other special needs.
