For many years, Foundation 191 has been proud to support innovative classroom projects and educational opportunities through our Teacher Grant Program. We remain deeply committed to supporting the outstanding teachers and staff of ISD 191 and recognize the important impact these grants have had on students across the district.
After careful consideration, the Foundation 191 Board has made the difficult decision to suspend the Teacher Grant Program for the 2026–2027 school year. This decision follows a review of the Foundation’s resources and fundraising capacity. The cancellation of our primary fundraising event last fall due to low participation significantly reduced the funds available to support teacher grants, making it necessary for us to pause the program while we evaluate sustainable paths forward.
While teacher grants will not be offered during the 2026–2027 school year, our commitment to educators remains strong. We will use this time to assess community needs, strengthen partnerships, and explore new fundraising strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of our Teacher Grant Program.
We are grateful for the educators, donors, volunteers, and community members who have supported the Teacher Grant Program over the years. Your generosity has helped bring creative ideas to life and enriched learning experiences for countless students. We look forward to sharing updates as we develop a plan for the future and continue our mission of enhancing, enriching, and expanding educational opportunities for students in ISD 191.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Foundation 191.
Sincerely,
Foundation 191
